Summer Camp
Big Kid Camp
Summer Camp

LPC offers a summer program that we like to call “Camp LPC” (July and August only).

Camp LPC is a very exciting place to be in the summer! The entire center switches gears for two months (July and August) to change our program into an outdoor, adventure-packed camp-like atmosphere. The coolest times of the day (mornings and late afternoons) are spent outdoors. Some adventures involve walks around town, others happen right at Camp LPC; “Crazy Hair Day”, “Treasure Hunt”, “Bubble Day”, “Pizza Lunch Day” (no lunchboxes needed). A few examples of past fun include visitors such as baby goats, construction trucks from the DPW, a magician, a bug man, and an ice cream/parfait truck. Our large wading pools are out almost daily so that children can dip to their hearts’ content! The many events that take place cannot all be listed here but are on the Camp Calendar that parents receive before the fun begins!

With your permission, sunscreen is applied daily so that children can safely take part in our many outdoor adventures.

Big Kid Camp

Back in 2015 we created an enriched summer camp experience for our oldest children – those who will be 5 by the end of August and entering Kindergarten in the fall – “Big Kid Camp”!

“Big kids” are grouped in their own class with one of our terrific LPC Lead Teachers, and an assistant. Parts of their day includes our regular Camp LPC activities and other parts of the day they follow their own programming such as swimming lessons at the town pool, gardening classes at the Community Farm on Lowell Street, painting, dance, and cooking classes which could include walks to Stop-n-Shop to purchase ingredients.

We know that you have many camp choices and we want you to pick the one that suits your child the best. This option is best suited to children who are ready for more, but also need consistency and familiarity before Kindergarten.
